Crunk Rock is the solo debut album by Atlanta based producer Lil Jon. All of Lil Jon's past albums were with the Eastside Boyz. It will be released by the Spring of 2008 in the United States.
Crunk Rock features the hit single "Snap Yo Fingers", featuring E-40 and Sean Paul of the YoungBloodZ. The second single is called "Act A Fool", featuring Three 6 Mafia. The song was available on Lil Jon's MySpace page on Halloween 2006, immediately attracting listeners with approximately 580,000 plays in the first day. Before recording the album, Lil Jon severed his negotiation with record label TVT. The self-proclaimed "King of Crunk" has settled his dispute with his label. Last year, Jon vowed to never record for TVT Records again, citing that TVT owner Steve Gottlieb was shortchanging him.
Jon has said that half of Crunk Rock will feature the rock-influenced sound heard on Trick Daddy's "Let's Go." The other half will sound like his past hits "Get Low" and "What U Gon' Do." Bands Korn and Linkin Park may appear on the album, as Jonathan Davis and Mike Shinoda are among the album's producers. Also rumored is Eminem, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, Too Short, Keyshia Cole, Rich Boy, Young Smoke.
XXL Magazine ranked "Crunk Rock" the 6th most anticipated album of 2007.
