Silk (Mekhi Phifer) is an escaped convict looking to get some fast cash to get out of the country. Howard (Mel Jackson) is a stressed-out, wanna be writer who recently came into some insurance money after his wife's mother died. Debbie (Mari Morrow) is Howard's supportive wife that he overtly neglects. During a writing session with Howard and his partners, Silk is invited into Howard and Debbie's home to use the phone because he's having car trouble. While there, Silk helps the frustrated writers with a problem with their script, then ends up befriending them. Stopping by the house before going to the mall, Debbie and her best friend Tammy (Malinda Williams), take notice of Silk and lust over his smooth persona. Being neglected by her husband, Debbie, vulnerable and in dire need of attention, allows Silk to seduce her mind and eventually, her body. After Silk's identity is revealed, he demands for Debbie to leave the country with him and threatens to kill anybody who stands in his way. Not taking his demand seriously, Silk confirms it by killing three people in the house and leaving Debbie, Howard and Tammy tied to chairs. After several failed escapes, Debbie finally frees herself only to discover a shocking twist.
